
Dr. Patten started our practice in 1981. He finished his internship and residency at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, then accepted a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan. He completed his fellowship at Foote Hospital - now Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the following professional societies: American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Michigan Thoracic Society, and American Society of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Patten recently retired in December 2022. We would like to congratulate him on his retirement, and hope he enjoys his new adventure. We will miss him!

After graduating from the University of Michigan with honors, Dr. Albertson completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Duke University, and a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at University of Michigan. He joined our practice in 1985, and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
He has volunteered on over a dozen short-term medical missionary trips to Guatemala, and enjoys swimming, boating and bicycling in his spare time.

Once he completed his medical schooling at Damascus University, Damascus, Syria, he emigrated to the United States and passed the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Steps 1, 2 and 3. He finished his residencies at Damascus Medical School in Syria and Abington Memorial Hospital (PA), where he was named Chief Resident at the latter. His fellowships were completed at Al-Assad University Hospital in Syria and the University of Memphis, Tennessee where he was Chief Fellow. Dr. Aleech has been with our practice for 14 years (2007). He has certifications through the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of multiple professional societies: American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Physicians - Internal Medicine, and the American Medical Association. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
In his free time, Dr. Aleech enjoys swimming, cooking, watching sports, and listening to music.

Dr. Alzebdeh received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid, Jordan. He attended Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan for his Internal Medicine residency where he was Chief Resident. He then went on to Wayne State University to complete his fellowship. He is certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). He is a member of the following professional societies: American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and American Thoracic Society.

Following his internship and residency at Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Wadhwa completed his fellowship at the University of Michigan. He joined our practice in 2014, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Jackson Health Network. He is also a member of multiple hospital quality committees at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He is a core faculty member for the Department of Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Wadhwa continues to be a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Mawari joined our practice in 2020, and is one of our newest physicians. He completed his residency at Southern Illinois University where he was awarded Best Teaching Resident of the Year, and his fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He received his Medical Doctorate from St. Matthew's University School of Medicine Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. He is a member of the professional societies American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, and American Thoracic Society. He is American Board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Internal Medicine. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
Outside of the office, Dr. Mawari enjoys playing basketball, football, and practicing mixed martial arts.

After receiving his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine in Syria, Dr. Assaad moved to the United States. He completed his residency at University of Illinois, and accepted fellowships in Sleep Medicine at Henry Ford Allegiance Detroit and Pulmonary Critical Care at Ascension Genesys Hospital, Grand Blanc, MI. He is certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine. He is a member of multiple professional societies - American College of Chest Physicians, American thoracic Society, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American College of Physicians. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
Dr. Assaad volunteered in Idlib, Syria from 2003-2010 with the Syrian Red Crescent, Alber Orphan House, and a local community clinic.

Muhanad Taha, MD, specializes in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in June 2024, after his Internal Medicine Residency there (2017-2020). He earned his MBBS (Very Good rating) from the University of Sharjah, UAE, in 2015.
Dr. Taha is board certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM, 2020), ECFMG certified (2016), and has hospitalist experience at Huron Valley Hospital (2020-2021). He is a member of ATS, CHEST, SCCM, and ACP, with multiple publications on COVID-19-related pulmonary complications (>150 citations) and awards including Best QI Project (2019).
He is dedicated to evidence-based, compassionate care for patients with complex lung and critical care conditions in our community.

Diana A. Wilson, AGNP-C, brings a strong foundation in both hospital-based nursing and advanced primary care to the practice. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Adult Gerontology, Primary Care, Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University in February 2021. She previously received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Detroit Mercy in May 2015.
Diana has many years of hands-on bedside nursing experience in the hospital setting. From 2015 to 2021 she worked as a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical Unit and later in the Emergency Department at Beaumont Hospital – Dearborn. Since 2022 she has practiced as an Nurse Practitioner with our practice, delivering compassionate, high-quality care to adult and older-adult patients.
She holds certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and is deeply committed to promoting overall wellness and providing passionate, patient-centered care to the adult-gerontology population in the communities she serves.

Nicole Stacy, AGACNP
joins with robust critical care expertise focused on acute adult and gerontology patients. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) at Chamberlain College of Nursing in March 2023, following her BSN there in April 2021, ADN from Rasmussen College in 2016, and Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Health Services (Pre-PA) from Western Michigan University in 2013.
Before joining us she served as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor, with prior cardiac progressive care experience at Lee Health Hospital in Florida. She has held roles as charge nurse, preceptor, resource nurse, and rapid response/code blue coordinator.
Nicole is certified as an ACNPC-AG (Michigan, since May 2023), holds RN licenses in Michigan and Florida, ACLS, BLS, and FCCS certifications, and received the Daisy Award in 2022. She is committed to providing expert, patient-centered care in our pulmonary and critical care setting.

Zubin Khan, PA-C, brings a diverse background in clinical care across multiple specialties to the team, with hands-on experience in pulmonary-relevant areas like internal medicine, critical care, and emergency medicine. He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in August 2024, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) from Eastern Michigan University in December 2015.
Zubin's clinical rotations (2023-2024) included inpatient psychiatry, geriatrics, family medicine, urgent care, clinical decision unit, pediatric emergency, emergency medicine, women's health, nephrology, internal medicine, general surgery, and hematology/oncology at various University Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, and MetroHealth sites. He performed procedures such as biopsies, suturing, and assisted in surgeries, while managing acute and chronic conditions. Pre-clinical clerkships and prior roles as a medical scribe at Henry Ford Orthopedics (2020-2021) and college success coach further honed his patient interaction skills.
He holds PA-C certification, BLS and ACLS, and has served in leadership roles like PA School Representative at Case Western Reserve University. Zubin is dedicated to compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients.

Ryan B. Andringa, FNP-C, brings extensive critical care and emergency nursing experience to our practice, with a focus on compassionate care for diverse patient needs. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Morningside University in December 2024, following a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2018) and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences (2016) from Grand Valley State University.
Ryan completed FNP clinical rotations in family medicine and advanced illness management/hospice at Henry Ford Health sites (2023-2024). As a Registered Nurse since 2018, he worked in surgical/trauma ICU at Henry Ford Jackson since June 2023, with prior travel contracts in progressive cardiac care, neurology, emergency, and med-surg at Unity Point St. Lukes, Mercy Health, and Spectrum Health Butterworth. He has held precepting, mentoring, triage, trauma, and COVID-19 leadership roles.
Ryan holds Family Nurse Practitioner certification , Michigan RN license, ACLS, and TNCC/ATCN. His awards include Graduate of Distinction from GVSU, Academic Dean's List (2013-2016), and multiple DAISY Awards for Extraordinary Nurses. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in our community.
